Cameron Soccer Jamboree Highlight

Cameron is five years old. This was her first Soccer Jamboree, in her first year of soccer. She loves it. And, she's not getting anything from Mom or Dad - neither of us played, so we got NUTHIN' as far as skills to pass down! Oh, yeah... Gabe's second Jiu-Jitsu Tournament

Gabriel attended his second Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament on 3-13-10, called "The Revolution." He placed third in "gi" and fourth in "no-gi" competition. He did great. He found himself against bigger and more experienced opponents and, instead of getting overwhelmed, his game simply improved as the matches went on. He never got submitted but learned that, even if you hold your own, if the other guy gets a take down and you don't - you lose on points - which is how he lost all his matches, being on the wrong end of a take down. He was hurt due to an illegal neck crank during a "no-gi" match while the ref just watched and let it continue. He did not participate in his last match due to that and ended up placing 4th. (Just a sore neck. Nothing permanent.)
